Age UK Bath and North East Somerset
Provides a friendly, reassuring presence on Community Group transport, helping older people travel.
A Transport Companion travels on Age UK B&NES Community Groups transport routes to accompany older people to and/or from their group. You will provide a friendly, reassuring presence, particularly for members who may be anxious, confused or need a little extra time, and help the driver keep track of planned collections and drop-offs. You will support members getting on and off the vehicle and check they are seated with seat belts fastened, within the training provided, and let Age UK staff know about delays, non-attendance or any wellbeing, safeguarding or safety concerns.
