Our Speak out. Stay safe. volunteers visit primary schools to deliver workshops to children.
Speak out. Stay safe. workshops teach children about abuse and how they can speak out and stay safe in an age-appropriate, memorable way. We need energetic and enthusiastic people to deliver them to children 6-11yrs. You'll work alongside other volunteers to make sure children feel empowered and know who they can speak out to if they are worried. You'll get the opportunity to learn new skills, be part of a friendly team of like-minded people making a huge difference to children's lives.

While we think this role is suitable for a whole range of people, we are particularly looking for those with the following qualities and experience. • Passionate about helping young people and children • Great communication skills • Empathetic and perceptive • Sensitive and supportive • able to think on your feet • works well within a team For this role, we can only accept people over the age of 16.
When you volunteer with us, we’ll give you full training which includes NSPCC safeguarding training, workshop practice sessions, home-study and visits to schools to help you learn the workshop materials. You will become part of a friendly, supportive team of like minded people. Our volunteers visit schools in pairs or groups and receive on going support from a supervisor.
This is a very flexible role and volunteers do not need to commit to particular session times. All we ask is that you complete 2 school visits per month at a time and location that suits you.
