Energy Champions are community volunteers who share friendly, local energy information to help people improve their home’s efficiency and lower their energy bills by: Providing information about support available in Bath and North East Somerset. Connecting people to professional support through signposting and referrals. Sharing personal experiences and unbiased case studies on home energy improvements. Volunteering at events, information stalls, drop-ins and workshops. No prior experience necessary - all volunteers receive free training and ongoing learning opportunities.

You must be able to talk with people at energy stalls, events and drop-ins. You should be a good listener who can help people feel comfortable discussing their homes' energy use, including potentially difficult subjects. We don't expect you to know everything - full training and reference resources are provided.
A great way to learn more about home energy - every volunteer receives free 'Energy Champions Training' and ongoing Learning Opportunities. Our next training date is July 16, Bath Guildhall, 10am-3pm. Help your community and meet new people. A flexible role where you can either join organised activities or create your own. Connect with new organisations, including our project partners - Bath and West Community Energy, Bath and North East Somerset Council, The Centre for Sustainable Energy, The Community Wellbeing Hub, AgeUK BANES, Citizens Advice BANES, and the University of Bath.
