Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? We are looking for people willing to bring energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the role, and who will broaden the diversity of thinking on our board. We are particularly interested in recruiting trustees from outside of the community transport sector with skills in HR, Finance, Fundraising, Marketing, Volunteer Management and/or Community Engagement. We actively encourage applications from people from ethnic minority backgrounds, disabled people, and LGBTQ+ communities.

Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Would you like to use your skills, experience, and perspective to help a local charity grow and thrive? SWAN Advice Network (including SWAN Transport and Radstock Food Club) is looking for new Trustees to join our friendly, committed Board. We want people who will bring energy, enthusiasm, and fresh ideas, and who will help broaden the diversity of voices and thinking at board level. You don’t need to come from the community transport sector; in fact, we’re especially keen to hear from people with experience in HR, Finance, Fundraising, Marketing, Volunteer Management, or Community Engagement. We warmly encourage applications from people from ethnic minority backgrounds, disabled people, and LGBTQ+ communities. Lived experience is just as valuable as professional experience.
As a trustee, you’ll play a vital role in helping SWAN support and connect local communities. You’ll help shape our strategy, ensure we’re well governed and financially secure, and support our staff and volunteers to do their best work. This is a chance to: • Make a real, visible impact in your local area • Develop new skills and gain trustee experience • Use your professional or lived experience for social good • Be part of a supportive, values-driven team
SWAN's board meet quarterly. Meetings are usually around 2 to 3 hours. Any additional involvement is dependant on your interest and enthusiasm to be involved.
