Community Ambassador

We Hear You

Raise awareness of WHY’s services as our Ambassador and represent us in your local community.

Detailed Description

We’re looking for passionate, motivated individuals who care deeply about mental health and want to make a difference in their community. As a Community Ambassador for We Hear You, you’ll play a vital role in raising awareness of our services and helping more people access the support they need. You’ll be the friendly face of WHY out in the community - sharing information, representing us at events, and helping us build meaningful connections.

Basic IT skills - internet & email, Organising & Planning, Interpersonal, Flexibility, Team Working

Why these skills are required

• Be passionate and enthusiastic about We Hear You, volunteering and community development. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Good presentation and public speaking skills. • Feel comfortable in following the organisation’s policies, procedures and guidance and able to volunteer within service boundaries. • Able to work proactively both independently and as part of the wider organisation and volunteer team.

Time Commitment

This is a flexible, volunteer-led role designed to fit around your availability, interests, and strengths. As a Community Ambassador, you’ll help raise awareness of WHY’s work in your local area, connect with community groups, and represent WHY at events or online. We recommend a commitment of a few hours per month, but this can vary depending on what you choose to get involved in.
