Would you like to volunteer with Sendias Bathnes who support families with SEND children?

Detailed Description

Sendias Bathnes offers free, impartial and confidential information, advice and support to children and young people (aged 0-25) with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their parents and carers An important part of our work is to gather feedback from service users Are you able to give a few hours a week to speak to families over the phone, who have engaged with our service? This is an interesting and flexible role during term time and full training is provided

What skills are required for this role

Admin, Basic IT skills - internet & email, Interpersonal, Empathy

Why these skills are required

Excellent communication skills and confidence speaking with others over the telephone o Customer focused, with a courteous and professional manner o Confidentiality and impartiality o Basic knowledge of SEND o Accurate record keeping, complying with Data Protection Act and GDPR o Experience of using a database (desirable) but not essential. Training will be provided As a volunteer with Sendias Bathnes you will be required to adhere to our code of conduct policy
