Volunteers provide patients, carers, and family members with support, guidance, and information on services available to them. By creating a welcoming and safe space for one-to-one conversations, volunteers help connect people with the resources they need.
The Community Wellbeing Hub (CWH), located in the Atrium at the Royal United Hospital, is there to support residents across Bath, North East Somerset, and Wiltshire. We connect people with a wide range of services to help with both immediate health needs and long-term wellbeing. Age UK proudly leads the CWH, and as a volunteer, you’ll be part of our team and guided by Age UK every step of the way! · Induction to include training in boundaries, safeguarding and GDPR · An introduction to Age UK Bath and North East Somerset and their services. · An introduction to the Community Wellbeing Hub partners · Regular support & supervision
Estimated weekly commitment: 3 hours per week minimum. · Days and times of volunteer activity: Mon-Fri 10am-12pm or 12pm-3pm · Length of commitment: Ongoing · Willingness to attend training and events offered by Age UK B&NES and CWH partners. · This role requires a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
