Our Saturday Club is a weekly group for children with disabilities ages 12+. Volunteers assist in facilitating play which includes: arts, crafts, messy play and sports. Volunteers will be able to assist in the planning and organising of activities, whilst supporting disabled children to participate in their chosen play and supporting children to manage their behaviours with other children. You will be expected to contribute to integrated working by using the following practices and processes in your work: Information sharing by contributing to end of session reviews and sharing any concerns with the session leader. Must be able to work as part of a small team Be able to use their own initiative Enthusiastic and a positive role model Experience of working with disabled young people is desirable; however a full induction will be given to successful applicants Volunteers must work to current legislation - The Social Model of Disability Framework.
