Habitat Management Volunteer
Somer Valley Rediscovered
With the support of Somer Valley Rediscovered’s lead TCV partner, Claire, you will carry out a range of practical conservation activities throughout the year at one of our 5 green spaces. Activities may include: * grassland connectivity and restoration, managing the scrub to restore and enhance the calcareous grassland * woodland management to establish a more diverse woodland flora and achieve good habitat status * monitoring wildlife * path and entrance improvements
Somer Valley Rediscovered (SVR) have partnered with the fantastic The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) colleagues to develop this Habitat Management volunteering role. Join us and help conserve our beautiful local landscape, steeped in heritage and nature. Volunteering with us is a chance for people in the Somer Valley to improve wildlife habitat and accessibility of greenspaces in the area. In turn this helps connect people to nature, supports and enables positive local action and improves health and wellbeing.
