We are urgently in need of a driver who can bring a couple of the less mobile members of the Twerton Lunch Club from their homes to and from the Lunch Club venue on Wednesdays.
We are urgently in need of a driver who can bring a couple of the less mobile members of the Twerton Lunch Club from their homes to and from the Lunch Club venue on Wednesdays. We would still love to hear from volunteers who can only commit to some Wednesdays.. The Lunch Club is a great project which really helps older people who are feeling lonely and isolated. The people who need transport are particularly isolated and attending the Club makes a huge difference to their quality of life. You will need a 4-door car and ideally an up-to-date DBS certificate (we can arrange this if necessary). We pay a generous mileage allowance and offer a tasty 2-course lunch. As from January 2025, the previous volunteer driver is no longer available, so we are in very urgent need of another driver. Do you think you might be able to help?
