GRANDFRIENDS is a new charity being set up in Bath and we are looking for a voluntary Treasurer to join our board of trustees. GrandFriends is a new charity in Bath set up by local people to build stronger intergenerational connections and friendships. We recognise the benefits of people of different ages sharing their experience, skills and kindness with each other, and want to encourage this more in our community. Our aim is to rebuild our community as more connected and friendly place to live, with older adults at the heart. We have partnered with a primary school in Oldfield Park and will be organising lunch-time and play-time visits in the school from GrandFriends. We looking for a Treasurer to join our founding board. We are actively seeking Trustees who are of the GrandFriend generation – for example a retired finance / accounting professional - with experience in a position of senior responsibility, an interest and understanding voluntary and community work, and a lot of common sense! Our Treasurer’s role will be to maintain an overview of the financial running of the charity in line with good practice and in accordance with our governing document and legal requirements. The Treasurer will be responsible for advising the board in its understanding of its financial responsibilities and duties.
